Brisket made easy
This is my second pellet smoker. This first was a Pit Boss. It was ok but now I needed something bigger and more consistent.The Brisk it Grill exceeded my expectations. The cooking surface is deeper not just wider. The fire pot is located in the center with a heat baffle above it. There are no hot spots! The smoke and heat comes over the sides of the huge grease catcher. Itâs not in my pics but I placed a thermometer while cooking and moved it to deferent locations and the heat didnât vary more than a couple of degrees. Hotter up top. But more importantly the temp was never more than 4 degrees off of my set temperature whenever I checked.Control panel was simple and easy to use. Turn the knob and press it. Priming took about 5 minutes and temp of 225 was reached in about 12 minutes.Construction and design is something to appreciate. The smoker is heavy. The metal looks and feels sturdy. Side mounted tray to the hopper lid, solid. The brisk it smoker has a ash and grease collection system that is out of sight. This gives it a really clean appearance plus itâs simple to use and easy to clean.Assembly was straight forward with easy to understand instructions and all tools needed is included. . A second set of hands would be helpful but I was able to knock it out in just under an hour. Iâm fairly handy.The brisket I made came out pretty good for my first try. Nice color and smoky. It was juicy in the thicker parts not as juicy at the thinner side but not dry. Not the smokers fault. I couldâve pulled it off sooner. I also let it rest wrapped in a towel for 2 hours.I didnât use the Brisk It pellets. It wasnât available on Amazon when I purchased the smoker. Itâs available now and itâs on its way. Iâll smoke another brisket when the pellets arrive. So Iâll review the pellets then.

AWFUL experience!!!! Not only did my grill come pre-scratched, but several components were bent which I ignored as I was excited for my first smoker. This thas been NOTHING less than a headache. Btw the 450 only fits about 4 whole chicken legs.One it doesn’t hold temp, overheated to almost 500 during my first cook. Then it just stopped holding temp all together and just kept dropping after trouble shooting. I lost $100 worth of meat, RUINED after fighting with this grill all day. Customer service wasn’t much help and responses take about 24 hours, so if you’re in the thick of it, don’t bother!Wifi disconnects as soon as you walk away and if you’re over 5’4″, this would be really annoying to use as it is so short. AI features aren’t fully developed and the app is kind of worthless grill was almost 400 and it doesn’t even notify you if it goes outside of your desired temp. You basically gave to watch the grill all day. Waste of money and time.

Best I Have Ever Smoked!!!
Iâm reviewing the Brisk It 580.Assembly was relatively simple. At my age it took two of us to flip it after attaching the legs. I do wish the shelf for in front of the grill was included. I attempted to order on the website, but it is out of stock. ðAfter adding the full 20 lbs bag of pellets, I set everything up for a pork butt smoke. The recommendation was for 6 hours at 225 degrees F to bring the meat temp up to 170 degrees F. Spritzed every hour with water (I didnât have apple juice). It took almost 8 hours even after upping the grill temp to 240.Wrapped the meat in butcherâs paper and smoked for another 6 hours (halfway through I upped the temp again to 250) to get the meat temp to 203. Rested the meat for 30 minutes and began to pull.Best I have ever smoked!!! The only thing I did was spritz. If it wasnât for upping the temperature twice, I never had to touch the smoker! Temperature stayed within 10 degrees of set temperature.Next time I will definitely start smoking at 250 degrees F right from the beginning. It used about half of the 20 lbs bag.I highly recommend this grill/smoker!
