Costco Recalled Mineral Water Due to Contamination

- Select cases of Topo Chico Mineral Water sold at Costco are recalled.
- The recalled water may contain Pseudomonas, a bacteria group that can cause illness.
- These impacted mineral water bottles were sold at locations in Texas and Louisiana.
A recall was just announced on cases of mineral water sold at select Costco locations, according to a company announcement. This is due to a potential bacterial contamination.
The water affected is 16.9-ounce bottles of Topo Chico Mineral Water. These 18-packs have a lot code “13A2541” printed on the box and on the bottle necks, and they were sold from May 20 through May 29, 2025, at select Texas and Louisiana Costco warehouses.
The recalled mineral water may contain Pseudomonas, which is a group of bacteria that’s a common contaminant in soil and water. The common type, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, can cause infection in the blood, lungs, urinary tract or other parts of the body. Those that are immunocompromised are more susceptible to serious infection. If you are experiencing any signs of illness after drinking the impacted water, contact a healthcare provider immediately.
