EAST OAK Smokers, unlike grills, use indirect heat to cook and flavor foods.
Smokers are able to maintain a lower temperature range, allowing for a longer, slower, and gentler cooking process. This low-temperature, slow-cooking method results in tender meat with a strong, smoky flavor and a dreamy, fall-off-the-bone texture.

Recommendation:
To smoke food at low temperatures, it is suggested to first set the smoker to 250-275°F (121-135°C), allow it to generate ample smoke, then place the food inside and adjust the temperature accordingly. If the initial temperature is set lower than 250℉, the smoker may not produce constant smoke.



Before using the smoker for the first time, it’s crucial to clean the device to remove any residues from the manufacturing process, like oil and dust.
Follow these steps:
1. Clean the interior with a wet sponge and mild detergent, then air-dry.
2. Use a cloth with a bit of cooking oil to wipe the interior walls. Avoid applying oil to the smoke box, heating elements, grease tray, or water tray.
3. Keep water and smoke boxes empty with the vent open.
4. Power up the smoker, set it to 275°F, and run for 2 hours.
5. After 2 hours, cool down the smoker.
6. After completing the above steps, your smoker is ready for use.
Note:
During the initial heating, there may be some oil smoke and odors due to residues. This is normal and should largely dissipate after the high-temperature operation for 4 hours. This process can effectively remove impurities and odors.
*Protective gloves are recommended during use.

    Great for beginner smokers
    Great smoker for a beginner smoker. Easy set it, with easy assembly instructions included. Plenty of videos on YouTube if you need help. Food cooks evenly. This is a sturdy and quality built smoker, well worth the price.

    Good value for the money
    Easy to assemble. It does take a bit of time, but it goes together like clockwork. One negative is that the screws do lose their paint and will rust. I have coded them with a rust inhibitor and re painted them after assembly. smoker works just fine. Keeps the temp you set. We sprayed avacado oil on all the grills and surfaces before using. Made clean up very easy. Worth the money

    outstanding customer service
    I must acknowledge the superlative customer service at East Oak. I received my 30″ smoker with a torn box and damage of the unit, clearly effected by transportation. I notified East Oak and provided pictures. They immediately issued a replacement unit. They updated the delivery status and kept in touch with me until it was successfully delivered.As I assembled the unit, I was impressed by the detailed solid state engineering of the product. Upon using it for the first time (on my freshly caught Lake Michigan salmon), I was very impressed with the maintenance of temperature and the design of the unit to provide smoke. Overall, I have to give this product 5 stars, and again especially give a big shout-out to their incredible customer service.

    Easy to use built well set it let do it’s job. I have used barrel smoker for years food comes out great but you have to keep checking on it. This is easier and once it gets broken in food will come out great

    I have to take a minute to thank East Oak for their fantastic product and customer service.This is how you from 1 to 5 stars.I recently purchased this East Oak Smoker and the heating element was shot. Things happen. Various scenarios could’ve caused this. Returning would’ve proved difficult, so I contacted East Oak directly. They sent me a replacement heating element at no charge, after verifying the unit was faulty. It came very quickly and the smoker works like a dream.Good customer service is hard to come by. And both Amazon and East Oak get 5 stars from me.

    Great price and Great temps for an electric smoker
    Greatly packaged i am amazed on how it was packaged! No damage other then a little scuff where it latches which is understandable. If you watch the video instructions, don’t pause watch all.the way through it doesn’t show in the video which way up on some stuff. Had 1 issue where the hole didn’t line up to mount the stand took 2 second to bend the hole and it was good. Gets almost to max temp in 30 min. Never gets to max temp which is okay since I will never smoke that high.when regulating temp it usually over shoots by about 3 to 5 degrees but does not go over so I set it under my 5 degree mark. Decent smoke for an electric smoker. If I could change anything it would be the smoker box allowing for more smoke. This compared to a charcoal smoker is a tenth of the smoke but I knew that when I bought it. I just wish they would design one like that, but not a fault. Over a great smoker better than master built which I owned controls temps better. Great price too!

    East Oak Solid and Well Built. Easy to Use.
    I just got this smoker. I’ve used it three times and it’s been great. You have to follow the directions and prime it before your first use, then I clean all the items in my dishwasher. You need to clean the interior after each use, which is simple. The last smoker I had, another brand, only lasted a year, so I’m being extra cautious and super clean. Overall it’s a beautiful unit and is really easy to use. I love that it’s digital and the controls are easy to understand. It’s built well and very solid. I hope it lasts many years. So far I’m very happy with it.

    Fast delivery. Smoker is excellent quality, very easy to assemble and set up. Smoked ribs the first time and was great. Temperature held up and stayed consistent for the entire smoke. Word of advice be extremely careful when putting together. Mine fell off my uneven surface and damaged the door. Customer service is fast at responding to requests. I couldn’t be happier with East Oak and their product. Would recommend 100%

    Great smoker! Just set it and forget it until the timer is done. Then it will keep the food warm until you shut it down. The reason I give it a 4 is because the racks are just a bit too wide and are difficult to pull out. Some wood chips may not fit as they may be too long for the holder, be selective.
